This morning Olin started the new school year. Well, Josh and I debated if we should in fact consider this to be the first day because the "phase-in" process is slightly excessive at this school - he was only there for an hour and a half this morning with only half the class and doesn't attend a full day until October 7th! But, it felt like the first day so we are going with it.
Olin did great although he did tell me it was time to go after about forty-five minutes. His teachers this year are very nice and the classmates that were there today were really sweet as well so I think it is going to be a great year.
If you can tell from the photos below (the last one in particular) the highlight of Olin's morning was riding a bus home. When we got back and our doorman asked Olin about his first day of school, he responded "I rode a city bus!"
In other news, while walking from the bus stop to our building, we bumped into Rosie O'Donnell and she said "oh, look at the cute redhead!" when she saw Odette!
