We skipped our traditional July 4th dinner at
EJ's Luncheonette for a quiet dinner at home because a) it's hot outside, 2) we're tired and 3) EJ's is now way across town instead of just down the street. We had such a good time cooking at home that this might become our new tradition. Plus, I have been promising Josh that I would make this flag cake for him for at least 5 years, so finally making good on that promise was kind of a big deal around here.
