In spite of the heat, we had a nice, but way too short, weekend. The highlights included a visit to the fountains in Riverside Park to try out the
new shoes, a drive out to Long Island to patron the Manhasset Whole Foods solely to enjoy our air conditioned car, tacos and margaritas (us, not Olin) back in the city at
Cascabel Taqueria, church, and brunch with friends at
Atlantic Grill. Oh, and Olin got a new tooth! We have been holding at ten teeth for a few months now, so we were excited to see all the drooling and chewing (it looks like we got a puppy with all the chewed toys and books around here) finally resulted in an actual tooth.
The lowlight of the weekend was the start of our apartment search NYC. The places we looked at were awful, bordering on gross, and nearly
out of our price range. The search reaffirmed that we are currently living in la-la land in our wonderful summer sublet. Oh, how I wish we could just stay here.
