Sunday after church we had a picnic on Columbia's campus - for which we made these Nicoise Terrines (that we loved) and Olin had his first taste of club soda (which he hated). We also toured what was the worst apartment yet. People in the city are crazy if they are willing to pay that much for such a disgusting place - the building lobby smelled like cat, the kitchen (if you can call it that) was the size of a closet with the smallest, oldest stove I have ever seen and I am not entirely confident that it had a refrigerator, the bathroom looked like someone died in it and the laundry that it was supposed to have per the listing was not in the unit, but conveniently located in the basement. Ugh!

Over The Weekend
I could blame the heat for our lameness this weekend, but that would be a total lie. Deep down Josh and I are homebodies and Olin only multiplies our desire to stay at home. So this weekend, we decided not to fight our tendencies but embrace them. Saturday we took our morning walk to Whole Foods, then waited at home for 4 hours for our groceries to be delivered, returned a top to Zara, returned home, bathed, fed and put Olin to bed, made lentil chili, poured ourselves some Rioja, cranked up the AC and pretended it was November while we watched Newhart reruns on Hulu. In our book, it doesn't get much better.
